Jack and Max went with me to Sam’s Club this morning while the others stayed home and did school. (Carl was home working)
This evening we went to the library while the big kids went to the Skating Place.
I think their favorite part was riding in the minivan.
Grace did it! 10 inches of hair to donate.
We had another great night with our college kids.
Yummy food…marble runs…coffee…and games.
We also supplied a few extra gallons of gasoline so that the guys could get home. (They ran out …and sent one in to humbly ask if we had any) Once a mom…always a mom…
We watched a movie from the church library on Dietrich Bonhoeffer. I was thankful that I read the 500 page biography on him because otherwise I know that I would have been completely lost.
I had tears in my eyes at the end because I just wanted him to live, to share more wisdom, and to marry Marie. But his days were written before one of them came to be, just like yours and mine. I don’t know what tomorrow may bring. What hardship is looming in my future. But I do know that no matter what, I want to hold fast to the fact that I serve an all knowing, all powerful, good, gracious, just and merciful God who is working for my good even when I don’t feel like it.
I predict in the near future my children will be outside for hours on end whether they like it or not.
