After a fairly restful night in a tent filled with 9 people, Angel’s birthday began with a family hike up church hill.
We continued the day with bike rides, water fights, and some great meals. We (mom and dad) were even able to break away for a while to go on a hike by ourselves. It was amazing to get some time together in such a gorgeous place.
Lydia and dad were even able to grab a selfie with some deer in the background on an evening for wheeler ride.
Angel, you are loved deeply, and treasured always. You bring out the best in us and our lives are better off because you’re in it. May we continue to grow in grace together for as many years as The Lord will give.
You are loved.

Our adventures Westward continued as we celebrated Grace’s 11th Birthday. Highlights included hiking a mountain at a Montana state park known for its dinosaur fossils and grabbing ice cream at McDonalds. We were all very glad to finally arrive at Nana and Papa’s ranch for dinner.

Max led the way up the mountain when he wasn’t riding on Dad’s back

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.

Birthday celebrations. I love how Grace is so willing to share the spotlight with her little brother. She’s growing into an incredible young woman. We love you, Rooster.

We started Max’s 3rd birthday with the traditional box of Dutch Maid donuts before we headed out of town for a week of adventures out west.
It was also Dan’s last day with us for the summer so we had a little going away party. He bought the kids some Star Wars light sabers and they had a blast playing with their new toys.
We finished the day with a great hike and enjoyed a beautiful North Dakota sunset.

Everyone loves a book read by Grandma

My little man

Silas has a new favorite shirt.

I was giddy to find these boxes of instant potatoes for $2 a box. So I bought SAMs out and was able to donate to our church food pantry. They don’t expire until next summer.

Max can’t wait to be like his Daddy.

Silas and Titus had the opportunity to go fishing with a man from our church. They had a blast! We are so blessed by the people of our church by the way we are loved. Makes me tear up a little just thinking about it.
